The Ridge at Manitou Golf Club

The Ridge at Manitou Golf Club is nestled along the shores of Lake Manitouwabing near the village of McKellar just 20 minutes east of Parry Sound Ontario. The golf course was designed by Tom McBroom and now under new ownership. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent that has a will to learn and help lead our Turf Management Department.

Responsibilities

Oversee day to day scheduling of maintenance operation.
Oversee completion of work assignments and follow ups.
IPM scouting and data submission
Assist in fertilizer/pcp applications including calibrations and documentation.
Assist in proper employee training techniques and keeping a safe workplace.
Health and Safety Committee Member
Assist in long range planning and implementation.
Assist in daily irrigation scheduling and participate in trouble shooting and repair.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Turfgrass Management.
Ontario Landscape Exterminators License.
Proficiency in computer use.
IPM Agent (willing to obtain)
Chainsaw License (willing to obtain)
Self Motivated, Detailed, Organized, Excellent Communicator and Leads by Example.

Compensation

$60,000 - $65,000 Annually
