Bayview Golf and Country Club is a private, 18 hole, multi-faceted, year round facility established in 1960, and centrally located in the GTA between the downtown core and the suburbs. The Club has an excellent reputation for superior conditioning on a C.E. "Robbie" Robinson design with recent and ongoing upgrades under the architectural supervision of Doug Carrick.
The Green Team at Bayview Golf and Country Club prides itself on providing members and their guests championship playing conditions on a daily basis. Exciting times are ahead for the Club with upcoming projects include the continued development and implementation of a Golf Course and Property Master Plan as directed by the Clubs Strategic Plan. Fall 2023 Construction of a new Turf Maintenance Facility and Environmental Centre. Upcoming construction of a new practice facility and ongoing annual capital improvement projects throughout the property.
The successful applicant will be involved in managing the daily operations including staff management, course preparation and set-up, IPM, water management, fertilizer and chemical calibration and application, irrigation maintenance and management, equipment operation, project management.
- Motivate and manage Teammates in a professional manner through personal work ethic and effective communication
- Maintain buildings, equipment and property in a professional manner
- Monitoring and recommendations concerning water schedules and practices
- Application and record keeping for all pesticide and fertilizers applied on the course
- Ensure that all pesticide and fertilizer application equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and kept in proper working order
- Upkeep and adherence of departmental health and safety policies• Staff operational training and safety procedures orientation

Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Turfgrass Management
- Previous experience in a management role
- Valid Ontario Landscape Exterminator’s License (or ability to obtain)
- Mature, eager, organized, and a positive attitude
- Willing to work flexible hours
- Willing to learn and possess a strong desire for advancement in the turf industry
- Have both excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Innovative and resourceful in diagnostic and problem solving skills
