Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto is a leading, private golf club committed to excellence, innovation, and providing top-tier service. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head Equipment Technician to join our team and oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of all equipment.
Job Overview:
As the Head Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of all equipment and machinery. Your role will include managing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and overseeing equipment upgrades to support operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing quick resolutions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure equipment is available and in optimal working condition.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, ensuring knowledge sharing and skills development.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Monitor and manage inventory of parts and tools required for equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Lead the planning and execution of equipment upgrades and replacements, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Equipment Technician, Equipment Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role preferred but not necessary.
- In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in managing teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., electrical, mechanical) preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for equipment handling.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
