Allturf has more than 40 years of experience in the Turf and Ornamental market including golf, lawn care, sports turf and municipality grounds delivering quality products and services. To handle our growth, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated candidate to join our team as a Sales Representative in Golden Horseshoe/London/GTA.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, personable individual to join our growing team as Sales Representative. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this permanent full-time role will be responsible for driving growth within agronomic markets, leveraging Allturf’s company values to meet sales targets while aligning with sales strategy. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate will actively promote and sell turf and lawncare products, provide product recommendations to clients, and deliver products during sales visits. This is a hands-on position that bridges customer service, technical consultation, and field-based logistics. The incumbent should feel confident being the principal point of contact between the turf industry while also spanning to other related areas recommending our products and services.
The ideal candidate will reside in Southwestern Ontario with occasional travel to the head office in Innisfil, Ontario. This role will receive significant hands-on training from experienced leaders in the turf industry as we invest in the candidates success and foster their growth. Sales & Client Management:
- Working collaboratively with your Manager, developing and regularly updating annual territory plans for your territory to identify and pursue sales opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to increase sales revenues and profit and promote customer loyalty
- Work within a provided sales/operational budget to achieve sales targets.
- Provide quotes, close sales and process orders
- Transport and deliver products directly to customers during sales calls, skid deliveries excluded.
- Regularly visit customers throughout your sales territory to build and strengthen relationships, maintaining detailed records of sales calls and client interactions
- Prepare sales reports and analyze sales data to track performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Coordinate with inventory and logistics team to ensure product availability
- Coordinate with administrative team to ensuring client invoices are satisfied
Technical Support:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and providing knowledgeable guidance on the use of our products
- Participate in corporate events, including trade shows and customer
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, product innovations, trends and developments to better serve our customers
- Arrange and coordinate technical meetings and workshops regarding Allturf’s products and services.
- Attend in-person or virtual industry/supplier meetings
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or Turfgrass Science. College level diploma or certificate related to science and agronomy.
- Proven sales experience, ideally in a similar industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with accurate record keeping, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team in a motivational manner
- Must be able to work flexible hours, as required and to adapt to changes in routine to achieve objectives
- Strong computer skills with general utility software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must have clean driving abstract
- Willingness and interest in traveling extensively within Southern Ontario.
