Sales Representative - Golden Horseshoe/London

We are seeking a reliable, organized, personable individual to join our growing team as a Sales Representative, servicing the Golden Horseshoe, London, Western GTA region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this permanent full-time role will require the individual to meet sales targets within the territory by aligning with the sales strategy, while leveraging our company values.

The ideal candidate will reside in Southwestern Ontario with occasional travel to the Allturf head office in Innisfil, Ontario. The individual selected will receive ample hands-on training by experienced members of our team as investment in our team’s development and success is an important part of our culture. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to increase sales and build customer loyalty.
  • Regularly visit customers throughout the sales territory to facilitate sales opportunities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and support business goals across all brands
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions in a timely, thorough manner and providing guidance and support in the use of our products.
  • Arrange and coordinate technical meetings and workshops highlighting the company’s products and services.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to promote our brand and products.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to better serve our customers.
  • Prepare sales reports and analyze sales data to track performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work within a provided sales/operational budget to achieve sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using CRM or designated systems.
  • Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory plans.
  • Attend in-person or virtual industry/supplier meetings.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Turfgrass Science. College level diploma or certificate related to science and agronomy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and motivational skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities while providing solutions to customer base.
  • Accurate record keeping and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team and to adapt to changes in routine to achieve objectives.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, as required.
  • Strong computer skills with general utility software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must have clean driving abstract.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Southern Ontario and adapt to changing schedules.
