Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Who We Are:
Seven Lakes stands as one of Essex County’s premier public golf facilities. Spanning across 266 acres and offering a total of 27 holes for golfers to enjoy, the property features two courses; the 18-hole Championship Course or “New Course” designed by Bruce Matthews III and the 9 hole “Old Course” which opened in 1971. The Championship Course opened in 2003, boasting spacious bentgrass fairways and large, firm, speedy greens. The property is unique in that it blends parkland and links-style elements as it weaves through tree-lined areas, fescue, and of course the famous “lakes” which give us our name. The Championship layout is consistently ranked among the top courses to play by Essex County golfers and beyond drawing thousands of returning golfers from all over Ontario and the US.
The executive 9-hole “Old Course” on the west side of the property, was built in 1976 and features the famous “island green” 6th hole and offers a quick but challenging round perfect for families, newcomers, and those seeking a relaxed golf experience.
Additional amenities at Seven Lakes include a 300+ yard driving range, a spacious putting and chipping area, and a beautiful modern clubhouse completed in 2020. The clubhouse is also home to “Sette,” our fabulous on-site restaurant which is quickly gaining a reputation for both its delicious Italian cuisine as well as its more casual after-golf fare.
