The Club at North Halton is a private 18-hole, parkland-style, par-72 golf course. Our beautifully landscaped grounds incorporate tree-lined fairways, wooded ravines, and natural foliage, all set in the majestic valley of Georgetown. Designed and groomed to challenge every golfer, the Club takes pride in delivering a premium golf experience to its members and guests.

The Club has an exciting slate of improvements on the horizon, promising to elevate both the course and its operations. The planned widening of Trafalgar Road will require a full rebuild of four holes. In addition, the Club is set to construct a new reservoir and turf shop, strengthening long-term sustainability and course conditioning, with groundbreaking anticipated for fall of 2026.


Position: Assistant Superintendent

Position Description:
The Club at North Halton is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our turf management team. This person will work closely with the Superintendent and Associate Superintendent in the day-to-day operations of the turf department.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a strong leader and team player
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to the Club’s vision
  • Communicate effectively with staff and members
  • Coach and inspire the team to deliver the best possible course conditions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in morning meetings to discuss daily plans and ensure optimal efficiency
  • Train and coach employees on equipment use and job tasks
  • Assist with course setup to meet member expectations for daily play
  • Manage water usage and irrigation as needed
  • Perform irrigation audits and repairs
  • Calibrate fertilizer spreaders and sprayers
  • Spraying Greens, Tees, Fairways and other areas as needed
  • Conduct IPM monitoring and maintain accurate records
  • Monthly inventory reports

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma in Turfgrass Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of golf course experience
  • Valid Pesticide License (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Chainsaw certification (asset, not required)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $55,000 – $60,000 per year
