Marine Drive Golf Club is one of Canada’s premier private clubs, known for its exceptional golf experience, strong sense of community, and commitment to service excellence. This A.V. Macan designed course opened in 1922 and has been proud to have some of Canada’s finest golfers as members.
We are currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent who is passionate about turf management, values teamwork, and thrives in a hands-on leadership role. This leader will assist in overseeing the maintenance, operation and management of the golf course and associated grounds and facilities. Working along side newly appointed Golf Course Superintendent, Riley Hummelle, and reporting to the Associate Superintendent, they will be one of two Assistant Superintendents rounding out a high-functioning team of five managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of daily golf course maintenance operations in accordance with Golf Course Standards.
- Supervise, train, motivate and evaluate staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Develop relationships interdepartmentally and with suppliers, contractors and consultants.
- Implement and oversee fertilizer and pesticide applications, cultural practices and record keeping.
- Schedule irrigation programs, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the current irrigation system.
- Maintain accurate application records, inventories, and data collection in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a turf management role is preferred.
- Possess a diploma or degree in a turfgrass related field.
- BC Landscape Pesticide Applicator Certificate, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
Compensation & Employment
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 DOE
Start Date: Spring 2026 (Flexible)
