Superintendent

 Conestoga Golf Club (GolfNorth)

In the heart of Waterloo’s Mennonite Region, this John Robinson Jr. course offers some of the most picturesque scenery anywhere in the province, along with lush rolling fairways and beautifully manicured greens.

Nestled alongside the Grand River, Conestoga features three unique 9-hole designs that will challenge players of all levels. The 2778-yard, par 34 Village Nine is arguably the most picturesque as many of the holes run adjacent to (and over) the river. The 3115-yard, par 35 Goose Run Nine is also a formidable test of golf as tree-lined fairways and small and deceptive greens are commonplace on most of the holes. The 3184-yard Moors Nine is appropriately named as this 9-hole configuration possesses many of the characteristics found on a links golf course. If variety is what you’re looking for, then Conestoga is the place for you.

The Superintendent will be responsible for all golf course and grounds maintenance.  They will work in partnership with the Clubhouse Manager, and report directly to the GolfNorth Head Office.  This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent who can work independently and to a budget. The Superintendent is responsible for all fertilizer and pesticide applications and will act as the course IPM Agent. First time Superintendents with managerial experience will be considered.  GolfNorth Properties presently operates 38 golf properties, so there are significant opportunities for advancement within the company, as GolfNorth has a policy of promoting from within. Salary is anticipated to range from $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
